Aura — Your AI Assistant
Delete your account
Last updated: May 9, 2026
What this does
Deleting your Aura account is permanent and immediate. Once you confirm, every piece of data associated with your account is removed from our systems and cannot be recovered.
Option 1 — Delete from inside the app (recommended)
- Open the Aura app on your phone.
- Tap the Profile tab at the bottom.
- Scroll to the bottom and tap Delete Account in the Danger Zone.
- Confirm the deletion. Your account, all conversations, all saved memories, and all usage history are removed instantly.
You don't need to email anyone for this path — the app itself completes the deletion.
Option 2 — Email request
If you no longer have access to the app (lost your phone, signed in via a deleted Google account, etc.), email us from the address registered on your account:
Subject: Delete my Aura account
Body: Please delete the Aura account associated with this email address, including all conversations, memories, and usage data.
We confirm and process every request within 14 days. You'll get a confirmation email when the deletion is complete.
What gets deleted
When your account is deleted (via either path), the following data is permanently removed from our servers:
- Your account profile (name, email, avatar)
- All chat conversations and message history
- All voice transcripts
- All saved memories Aura learned about you
- Tool runs, image generations, and their results
- Usage counters (messages sent, tools used, etc.)
- App preferences and settings
- Active sessions (you'll be signed out everywhere)
- Subscription records (cancel any active subscription separately in Google Play — see below)
What we keep, and for how long
A small number of records are kept for legal, security, or fraud-prevention reasons even after account deletion:
- Anonymized billing records — required by tax law in some jurisdictions, kept for up to 7 years with no personal identifiers attached.
- Aggregate, anonymized usage statistics — counts like "total messages sent today" that contain no personal information, kept indefinitely.
- Backup snapshots — encrypted database backups roll off automatically within 30 days; deleted data may exist in those backups during that window but is never restored to live systems.
- Security / abuse logs — IP-level rate-limit and abuse data, kept for up to 90 days for fraud-prevention.
None of these retained records can be used to identify you after deletion.
Active subscriptions
If you have an active Aura Plus subscription, deleting your account does not automatically cancel the subscription with Google Play. To stop further charges, also cancel the subscription in the Google Play Store:
- Open the Google Play Store app.
- Tap your profile icon → Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions.
- Find Aura → Cancel subscription.
